Your data
Short version: we store what the game needs to work and nothing else. There are no advertising trackers, no analytics profiles and no data sold to anyone.
What we store
Your account. If you sign in with a magic link we store your email address. If you sign in through a social login provider we store the account identifier it gives us. If you play as a guest we store no contact details at all — a guest account has no email attached to it.
Your profile. A username, an optional display name, an avatar (either a seed we generate a picture from, or a photo you upload), optionally a club, and whether you are verified. Your username and avatar are public — they appear on the leaderboard and on your profile page, which is the point of them.
What you do in the game. Your predictions, your Calls, your comments and chat messages, your badges, your club memberships and your duels. Predictions become public after kickoff by design: the whole game is that everyone's call is on the record once the whistle goes. Before kickoff, nobody but you can see yours.
Notifications. Only if you turn them on. We store just what is needed to deliver a notification to your device, and nothing more. Turn them off and it is deleted.
Operational records. We log events like “a cron ran” and “grading completed” so we can tell when the game is broken. These are about the system, not about you.
What we do not do
No advertising trackers. No third-party analytics building a profile of you. No selling or renting your data. No cross-site tracking. We do not ask for your location, your camera, your microphone, or your contacts.
Who else touches it
Running a website means we rely on a few trusted service providers to handle your data on our behalf — for hosting, for the database and sign-in, and for sending the sign-in email. They are bound by contract to protect your data and to use it only to run the service for us. If you choose a social login, that provider handles the sign-in.
We also load football scores and fixtures, club crests and flags, and generated avatar images from outside data sources. Those receive a request from your browser for a picture or a scoreline; they are not given your account.
Deleting it
You can delete your account from your account page. It removes your profile and everything attached to it.
Guest accounts delete themselves. An anonymous account that has been inactive for 30 days is removed automatically, with everything attached to it — you do not have to ask.
Cookies
Only the ones that keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. If you are signed out and never sign in, we are not storing anything about you.
